ear Members, Allies, and Friends,
I hope this message finds you in good spirits. As we prepare for our Annual Gala on March 7, 2025, at Sheraton BWI in Linthicum Heights, the board and I felt compelled to make some changes in these times of uncertainty.
In light of the recent federal attacks on our rights and freedoms as LGBTQ+ individuals and our allies, it is important to come together as a united force. The challenges we face are overwhelming, but together, we are stronger. Our MD LGBTQ+ Chamber of Commerce will continue providing safe spaces for our businesses and organizations to thrive in our state.
To ensure that everyone can join us in this celebration of resilience and solidarity, we have made the decision to lower ticket prices from $250 to $149. This year’s gala, themed “Uplifting the Community-paving the way towards a more inclusive future” will not only serve as a celebration of our achievements but also as a powerful reminder of the work that still lies ahead. The evening will feature an open bar, a gourmet dinner, inspiring speakers, and the presentation of our Annual Awards, honoring those who have gone above and beyond to advocate for LGBTQ+ Marylanders.
I passionately believe that our strength lies in our unity as our LGBTQ+ community contributes over an estimated $4 trillion dollars in the global economy. When we come together, we amplify our voices and demonstrate the power of our community. Let us stand shoulder to shoulder in the face of adversity, celebrate our diverse identities, and empower one another to thrive in business and in life. I urge you to join us in this important gathering. Your presence is not just appreciated; it is essential. Together, we can continue to advocate for our rights and pave the way for a promising future for our businesses and those who support us!
